Biography
I am a spanish oil painter born in Almeria (Spain) in 1962. I have been painting from as for back as I can remember because for me the art is life, an outlet for me to express myself, a way to live, share and express.
I finished my study at the University of Madrid in 1985. After I moved to Almeria, where I live nowadays next to the Meditarranean sea.
Nowadays my excitement and love for painting is renewed every day due to everpressent element of emotion and pleasure every painting session. I work with oil on canvas and enjoy creating. My figurative style includes mainly seascapes and lansdcapes inspeired by the light, air and sea of my region.
I paint daily -sometimes Plein Air- in a impressionistic style trying to transform a blank canvas into an artwork to represent not the outward appearance of things, but their inward significance using the stroke and colour to reveal my personality, passion and emotion.
I have several gallery exhibitions behind me. I have shown my artworks in solo and group exhibitions and I have sold paintings to collectors as far away as Jordany and many others throughout Spain and United Kingdom.

An art movement founded in France in the last third of the 19th century. Impressionist artists sought to break up light into its component colors and render its ephemeral play on various objects. The artist's vision was intensely centered on light and the ways it transforms the visible world. This style of painting is characterized by short brush strokes of bright colors used to recreate visual impressions of the subject and to capture the light, climate and atmosphere of the subject at a specific moment in time. The chosen colors represent light which is broken down into its spectrum components and recombined by the eyes into another color when viewed at a distance (an optical mixture). The term was first used in 1874 by a journalist ridiculing a landscape by Monet called Impression - Sunrise.
