Biography
Born in January, in Haifa Israel, Jesse Kellman is the adopted son of prominent American economist Dr. Mitchell Kellman. Jesse always felt on the outside of the mainstream and grew fond of being the anti- anti. A rebel at a young age he created his own world and his own ways on how to do things. Sometimes working for him and sometimes working against. Jesse brings his oddball views and bold expressions to life. His many experiences aide him in the underlining message of in his work. Opinionated, savvy and rough around the edges his art very much mimics the artist himself. Influenced by the greats of New York City, Jesse follows suit in keeping way outside the lines and continues to create his own style and medium for what he has to say. Typically dealing with human emotion, life's tragedies, love and loss, the works have a human message in them. The viewer has the opportunity to connect with the images and relate themselves in a personal way to what Jesse Kellman is relaying in his work. Artist Jesse Kellman has been shown in galleries around the country. His collector base is growing and recognition forming. His work is hung in most major cities around the United States. He has painted for estates and the socially elite from New York to California. Jesse’s talent and ability to make paint speak will assure his success and continue to grow in demand and value.

An art movement founded in France in the last third of the 19th century. Impressionist artists sought to break up light into its component colors and render its ephemeral play on various objects. The artist's vision was intensely centered on light and the ways it transforms the visible world. This style of painting is characterized by short brush strokes of bright colors used to recreate visual impressions of the subject and to capture the light, climate and atmosphere of the subject at a specific moment in time. The chosen colors represent light which is broken down into its spectrum components and recombined by the eyes into another color when viewed at a distance (an optical mixture). The term was first used in 1874 by a journalist ridiculing a landscape by Monet called Impression - Sunrise.
