Biography

I started really painting in 2002 while recovering from a stroke. I am an accountant but the stroke affected my brain to operate differently and I developed a need and love to paint after I had temporarily lost my eye sight for several weels, I particularly love to paint with oils because of the love for texture and its durability.. I tend to lean towards animal illustrations and landscapes and some have dubbed me the "Artist of Innocense" in my art circles. But as time goes by, I have learned and experienced different venue and mediums and continue to explore the world of art. I came from a large family and my grandmother had a masters degree in art. I had no formal training but learned from others I have connected with in art circles from all over the world. It is a continuing process of love and respect for the art world. I also write poetry and am currently writing a series based on the lives of artists and hope to have a collection of my combined work available for print in a year or two. Most of my work I draw off of photo's or memory. I usually start with an idea from a photo and progress, but some of my work is done from my photography and my digital manipulations. If I see something I like that I photographed and altered, I will paint it. I also can paint about any animal so if you have a loved pet and you want a protrait made, please feel free to contact me.
