Biography
Frank Dong is a consummate artist who has dedicated his life to the pursue of expression through art. Mr. Dong devoted the first 22 years of his art career to traditional Chinese brush painting on rice paper. He then earned his BFA degree from San Francisco Art Institute, and a Master's degree from California college of Arts and Crafts in Oakland, California. The last 20 years of his art career is focused on the Abstract with particular emphasis mostly in the Acrylic medium.

Style Abstract

A 20th century style of painting in which nonrepresentational lines, colors, shapes, and forms replace accurate visual depiction of objects, landscape, and figures. The subjects often stylized, blurred, repeated or broken down into basic forms so that it becomes unrecognizable. Intangible subjects such as thoughts, emotions, and time are often expressed in abstract art form.
