| Biography | |
"He who works with his hands is a laborer. He who works with his hands and his head is a craftsman. He who works with his hands and his head and his heart is an artist."
St Fancis of Assisi
It was quite sometime ago. As Van Gough put it: I wanted to touch people with my art. I wanted them to say 'he feels deeply, he feels tenderly.' And I started painting...
Maybe I had more than that in my mind. Maybe I wanted to create something that did not exist before. Maybe I wanted to make some sort of difference. Maybe I wanted to leave something that would out-live me.
Whatever the reason for creating a painting, the work of art has served its purpose when it is completed. Other rewards may come when the work has found a responsive audience.
One thing is for sure, all of my artwork is a sincere effort that contains work of my hands, my head and my heart. |
