Biography
Neil Lawson-Baker is internationally known Artist - painter, sculptor and a reflective photographer. His creative talent and Renaissance personality shine through the many facets of his devoted service to the Arts. He chairs The National Open Art Competition (Chichester) - the nationwide exhibit of paintings, drawings and prints in the UK.

Having been exposed to a photographic background since birth (Neil's father was a Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society) Neil has an eye for absolute perfection. He uses a Nikon 300 digital camera and a Leaf Aptus 38 Mpixel back on a Contax 645 camera system to produce quality work.
Recently he has developed a technique of using window reflections and he is working on a series of photographs that will "reflect" the life of major international cities.

Two of his works from Reflections of London were recently displayed in Peter Jones main window together with original works of art by such prominent British artists as Damien Hirst, Boo Ritson and sculptor Nicola Hicks, where they were described as "The Cream of British Art."
Neil's photography was a big success at the subsequent charity auction for McMillan Cancer Nurses sponsored by Kenwood De Longhi. His work fetched $3400 there. And a recent auction saw his photograph of Boris Johnson going to the Director of Tate Modern for $16 000.

Neil Lawson-Baker began sculpting in 1987. He quickly became the author of such famous "bronze" as "Portcullis and Crown" sculpture that adorns the parliamentary offices at the House of Commons. This was dedicated and unveiled by HRH The Prince of Wales in 1989.

He created the 8 metre "Flame" sculptures for the two British Gas HQ buildings and a 16 metre bronze "Kris" for the VIP entrance of the National Stadium in Kuala Lumpur which became a new Malasian national monument for the 1998 Commonwealth Games.

Neil's sculpture for the opening of the Channel Tunnel at Folkestone, Kent was dedicated by HM The Queen and President Mitterand of France when, in act of unity, they joined hands to unveil the work in May 1994 during this most historic occasion.
These are just some of the bronze sculptures that Neil produced to celebrate major international events.
