| Although this painting is based on the old Mudejar entrance to "The Church of Santiago", the oldest church of Malaga in Spain, the Impression Realism here depicted creates a whole new image. The invitation to enter from the tide-line, passing through the doorway with all its details and viewing the sea as it stretches to eternity, relates the feeling of the passage through life itself.
