Description

This is from my "Mary Pushes Genji Off The Bridge" series. It is oil Pastel and Charcoal on Archers Bluff papaer. I use turpentine and lacquer thinner to work the oil pastels and make them fluid. The laquer thinner cures very fast and allows brush strokes that might not norally last to be frozen in place. It gives the piece a more action or fluid look. Again I place these colors on top of a geometric grid . I keep all of the colors simliar in hue and intensity. The lines (like perspective lines which they are) are laid out to be landscape like. Agian I work the space. I use line to take you over and around the drawing. It is a wonderful piece of modern painting. Thought provoking... comes to mind.
