Life sometimes deals you an unfair hand and can be very disappointing. There are times when it is necessary to surrender to the circumstance happening at any given moment, much like not fighting the current during a dangerous swim in the ocean. This does not mean that you ever need to give up, rather that it is more effective to let go and go with the flow. I named this piece surrender because the daughter of my husband tried a serious attempt at suicide and needless to say he was at a loss of what to do. My advice was that he needed to let go of his attempts to control her life in a direction she didn't want to go. It was obvious these attempts were making her very unhappy and he needed to surrender.
