Although I've traveled here and yon in my wonderully eventful life, I call the little town of North Vernon, my home town. I had wonderful art teachers throughout my life, especially in North Vernon, and now life seems to be the best art teacher yet. I currently live in Indianapolis, Indiana with my wonderful son and husband. I also have one grown and beautiful daughter and equally beautiful grandbaby. We try to get together as a family often.
I spend most of my painting time at various locations in southern Indiana. I lock myself in for the entire time with only breaks for the most absolute of necessities. Occasionally I paint at home, occasionally I paint on the road, and perpetually, I paint in my mind. At any given time there are between 10 and 20 new paintings taking form, changing, evolving, and becoming in my mind. When there's enough time, and the universe says so, they make it onto canvas. Of course, some make it into the trash too, which is totally cool.
I spend time with my beautiful friends whose company is one of my luxuries. When I can, I travel. I go home to North Vernon whenever I can make up a good reason.
Art exhibit and opening at The Abbey at 825 Pennsylvania across the street from the new library. March 1st, 2008 - March 31st, 2008. Opening starts at 6:00 PM and 10:00 PM. You can see the art all month, but you can purchase, or visit with the artist at the opening.
