Born in Armenia in the city of Gjumri in 1964.
Graduated the Yerevan Fine Art and Theatrical Institute.
Many of his works are now in private collections in the countries of America and Europe. He is a member of Russian artist’s Union since 2000.
Akopyan participated in exhibitions:
1988 - the Youth exhibition in the House of Artists in Yerevan.
1992 - the Exhibition of the Gallery. Style in Jerusalem.
1993 - the Exhibition of the Gallery. Style in Stockholm.
1994 - the Exhibition of the Gallery. Style in Beirut.
1996 - Auction Druoe in Paris.
2005, 2006 - the Art Manej - the International fair of the modern art in Moscow.
