Biography
Born in Armenia in the city of Gjumri in 1964. Graduated the Yerevan Fine Art and Theatrical Institute. Many of his works are now in private collections in the countries of America and Europe. He is a member of Russian artists Union since 2000. Akopyan participated in exhibitions: 1988 - the Youth exhibition in the House of Artists in Yerevan. 1992 - the Exhibition of the Gallery. Style in Jerusalem. 1993 - the Exhibition of the Gallery. Style in Stockholm. 1994 - the Exhibition of the Gallery. Style in Beirut. 1996 - Auction Druoe in Paris. 2005, 2006 - the Art Manej - the International fair of the modern art in Moscow. And others.

Style Abstract

A 20th century style of painting in which nonrepresentational lines, colors, shapes, and forms replace accurate visual depiction of objects, landscape, and figures. The subjects often stylized, blurred, repeated or broken down into basic forms so that it becomes unrecognizable. Intangible subjects such as thoughts, emotions, and time are often expressed in abstract art form.
