Biography 
Bright modern marine watercolor. Full of rich color and detail. Framed in a contemporary blue marbled with gold frame that beautifully matches the painting. A top mat of mauve and a blue bottom mat accent the image wonderfully. Frederic Montague Charman was an American watercolor society Member ( 1894-1986). He worked in many areas of the United States , including out west in the Rockies .Charman painted landscapes from the the foothills of the Rocky Mountains to New York State. In many of his painting he creates a dimensional depth, allowing one to look through the forms to something beyond that is vague and mysterious Montague artwork paiting - Flower Garden ( Work on Paper) 22" x 30" has been auctioned at $800.00 by Richard Bourne auction house - Hyannis, MA, USA at 11- Aug-1987
