Biography
Born in 1982.
2002 - B.A in History of Fine arts, Stella Maris College, Chennai.India.

About me
Born into a South Indian family, I have acquired the artistic talents from my mother, an expert Tanjore painting artist and the eye for graphic and abstract art from my father, an advertiser & designer.
My abstract works have always had a connection with the straight forward lines, shapes and colours of the Tanjore painting style (ancient art from the district of Tanjore in Tamil Nadu), as I have observed and created many a Tanjore painting for more than a decade. Although, the exposure to art from all over the world through the ages, during my years at college opened an array of styles that interested me and captured my attention.
The paintings are always different, but they are bound into a style all my own, using mostly my fingers to spread the paint and form textured surfaces that are heightened by the bright colours. Concentrating on commercial art and graphic designing thus far has given my paintings a contemporary dimension.

Exhibitions
2002 – Group exhibition held by Stella Maris college at the Lalitkala Academy, Chennai.

Art sold
“Teletrance”, a work done in mixed media about the social weaknesses faced by our society today and a peep into the future, was sold to decorate the walls of an office space in Chennai.

“The crow”, the bird of Chennai as I call it was the centre of attention amidst green bushes in the background. This Oil painting was donated to the Swami Suddhananda foundation in Chennai.

“Cries for help” is a painting of souls sunken in the depths of their own emotions, desperately trying to reach out to you. This acrylic painting was sold to a private collection.
Acrylic is a popular and versatile painting medium, using pigments dispersed in a polymethyl methacrylate vehicle. Acrylic paintings are generally less translucent than oil paintings.
