Biography
Scott Gregory has become a renowned Canadian artist with an impressive fallowing. He has received numerous awards and grants for his painting, including Ontario Arts Council grants, project travel grants and several painting prizes internationally. His work is included in such prominent collections as the Canada Council Artbank in Ottawa and the Art Gallery of Windsor. He is also represented in many corporate and private collections including Citibank, Deloitte & Touche, Price Waterhouse and Hilton International. Born in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, where he continues to work and live. He graduated from the University of Windsor with a B.A. and Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1973, majoring in painting. His interest has focused primarily on contemporary abstraction and non-objective painting. In 1984, already establishing a name for himself, Scott Gregory was one of the three artists selected to represent Canada at the Art Today Sapporo Triennale exhibition at the Hokkaido Museum of Modern Art in Sapporo, Japan. The following year he was invited to attend an international exhibition in Seoul, Korea.
