Biography
Ronald Cartier Perry has recently decided to cross the threshold into the art community. He brings with him a past rich with diversity. This history plus spiritual expression/direction provides stimulation to many inspired themes. His ability to translate thoughts through color, balance, and various techniques is apparent when contemplating his collection. His paintings are an extension of his quest for spiritual and stimulating expression. His works are honest and bold, exact yet emotional, purposeful yet visceral. The dynamic integration of color, shapes, and movement celebrate the spirits and elicit discovery. David Beasley, art lecture and author of Understanding Modern Art: The Boundless Spirit of Edgar Spohn, upon viewing Cartier Perrys work commented: It is like an extension of Clay Edgar Spohn. Your ability to express emotions through color and balance is remarkable While his past is rich with diversity, his art background began as a child, when structured art lessons were a source of frustration. As an adult, he found new levels of expression as he attended creative painting classes. When a friend saw his painting, Vase on Table at Midnight, he encouraged him to enter competition. His work was one of 1,746 submitted to the M. Allen Hortt Memorial Competition, considered the oldest and most prestigious competition in South Florida. He was recognized with the Merit Award. As a jeweler, he won recognition for design by DeBeers Diamond Cartel. Palm Beach Countys Art Public Places Program contains his Portrait of Brendan which hangs in the Court House, Victims Services Office. Make a Wish hangs at the Childrens Hospital in San Jose, Costa Rica as an inspiration to children in need of reconstructive services. Private collectors. It is though the energy reflected in his work that a deep satisfaction to the mind, and the senses, elevates the spirit while stimulating insight.
