| Biography | |
William has been involved in art his entire life. His adult artwork has ranged from seascapes and landscapes, particularly New England scenes, to portraits of homes and murals.
William has studied at Mass College of Art in Boston, and is a member of the Duxbury Art Association, often contributing to the yearly juried shows. In 2006, he was presented with an honorable mention for best oil in show from the Duxbury Art Association. He also won 2007 Best Pembroke Artist from the Pembroke Arts Festival in Massachusetts. He has been represented by the Kyle Studio Gallery in Falmouth, MA as well as the Arnold Art Gallery in Newport, RI.
Currently William sells through private commissions and this site. Oils are the artist's choice for medium, while using acrylics on the murals.
Through his artwork, William tries to inspire, relax, and captivate the viewer, focusing on the everyday surroundings, transforming them into something that will introduce the beholder to a greater appreciation for the complexities of nature and life. |

| Style Realism |
 |
| A style of painting which depicts subject matter (form, color, space) as it appears in actuality or ordinary visual experience without distortion or stylization. In a general sense, refers to objective representation. More specifically, a nineteenth century movement, especially in France, that rejected idealized academic styles in favor of everyday subjects. Daumier, Millet, and Courbet were realists. |
