Biography
Petrus Adrianus is the artist name of Peter Brans. In 2005 he was working on a photo program and could transform a photo into a very small mosaic pattern. The transformed image was so eye-catching that he got the idea of trying to make this in a real artwork with the use of ceramic. Since the tiles had to be very tiny (not the traditional mosaic) he decided to start learning about ceramic himself. It took 2 years to learn all that was needed to make his specific mosaics but he managed, and currently he is living in Thailand where with a small team he is making the artwork for various people around the world. In one painting of 16" x 20" (40cm x 50cm) he fits 8000 individual small tiles which are random broken. What I want is an interieur that suits me, a style that is personalised, a place where mass production does not excist and creativity comes to life what I want I do in my work Petrus Adrianus Brans
