Yanko Yankov
I am a professional artist and graphic designer.
Since graduating in 1988 from the Department of Fine Art at the University of Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria, I have worked as a painter, illustrator, designer and art teacher.
Much of my time is currently spent on fine art commissions, specialising in oil portraits on canvas . I have undertaken work for customers from Bulgaria, the UK, Belgium, France, Norway, Sweden, Danmark, Germany, USA , etc.
I am also a prolific illustrator, working in a variety of mediums for a number of publishers in Bulgaria. My illustration work won me a place in the final of the prestigious, international Writers and Illustrators of the Future award in 2001.
When time allows, I indulge my passion for conceptual art . I have had more than 10 personal exhibitions of conceptual paintings, as well as installations, video art, illustrations and sacral painting.
