Biography
Amy Letts is a freelance artist, illustrator and web designer. Her work consists mainly of Fantasy, Landscape and Figurative work. She took her first commission in 1998 and began to work professionally in 2003. She is studying a BA Honors Degree at Oxford Brookes University, England.

Her work is inspired by nature, mythology and a rather irate Muse called Daeken. She is fascinated by the concept of humanity and her work usually explores some aspect of it, probing the boundaries between perception and reality. She is also influenced by the Romantics, Expressionists and Surrealists along with a range of modern Celtic and fantasy artists. Her work seeks to explore, journey and discover new possibilities in both the lands of the probable and improbable.

She is constantly excited by the creative process and eager to learn and experiment with new skills. She has studied theatre, dance and creative writing; textiles, sculpture and ceramics; photography, drawing and painting. She believes every work of art is individual and has it's own demands. Her usual media include pencil, charcoal, pen & ink, pastels, watercolour, acrylic, oils, clay and natural materials.

Amy Letts loves artist communities and runs her own community website 'The Art Odyssey,' which she designed herself. She also runs her own webcomic 'Real Realms' which updates infrequently between projects. She is known online as Amulett.

In addition to painting at uncivilised hours Amy plays FRP games, watches Star Trek and is a notorious bookworm. She is a hippy, somewhat eccentric and has reclusive tendencies. She believes the faeries keep stealing her pencils.

My usual subject matter relates to realism, nature and mythology (i.e. Fantasy), but I am able to work with other subjects as well. If you are not sure, ask. I dislike architecture but will do it as part of a background. I will not do a purely architectural commission (although I have in the past). I do not do Mecha.
I do nudes and mature content but not pornography.
Character portraits are fine, either yours or characters from my webcomic. I will not touch copyrighted material unless you own the copyright.
I can draw/paint anything from a photograph.
My style is flexable and I will do my best to adjust it to the demands of the commission.

Turnaround time is approximately 2-3 weeks from start to finish and another week to receive original by mail, although this may vary depending on the size and complexity of the piece.
You will be kept informed throughout the entire process of the commission:

1. I will check with you when the original pencil sketch(s) are completed for any adjustments prior to work on the final design
2. Where adjustment is required they will be made and approved before starting work on the final design
3. Photographs will be taken of the work in progress so that you can see how the work is progressing (if it only takes a short time this may not be nessicary).
