Biography
Matthew J. Lantz Ive worked in realistic, abstract, and impressionistic styles several years. Raised in Indiana, I never can remember a moment in my childhood that I didnt love to draw. Creating a visual expression that would capture a viewer has always been something Ive enjoyed. In high school, I was exposed to painting and felt my mind stretch with the excitement of possibilities. Ive always enjoyed absorbing as much as I can from other artists. I have always loved to go to galleries and observe fine art. I now find it most enjoyable to paint freely with an abstract impressionistic open pallet approach. I love to pay close attention to my compositions, from what Ive learned it is an important aspect of painting. The style that I paint in, I feel allows me to freely express feelings that I have and to connect with the viewers.
