Biography | |
"When I have nothing before me save a blank white canvas,my collection of brushes, buckets of color, and the sanity of my imagination,I am aware of no greater happiness."
I have been drawing my whole life, but took up painting at age 14,after months of begging my parents for canvases-a huge victory for being one of 10 siblings! I then all but vanished for the remainder of my teenage years into my room, immersed in colors and my imagination. After coutless moves through numerous states,I joined the Army-a goal of mine since age 5-and was lucky enough to land in Texas,my favorite state.Three and a half years later I got out of the Army, and ever since then,I have thrown myself headlong into pursuing my greatest passion-painting.Over the years,my style has evolved into...actually,I'm not quite sure WHAT to call it.How about "Angelism"? (tongue in cheek) I spend half of my time running after my toddler, whose only goal in life is destruction,so naturally,I gladly sacrifice sleep to be able to do what I love most:sit in front of a canvas surrounded by my colors and brushes.Translation:I'm just your sleep-deprived,over-caffeinated,but very happy artist. My motto is "Do what you love and love what you do",and I hope everyone out there enjoys the results of that when you view my art. So,from the playground of my mind to yours... |
