Biography
Nicki Garner was born in 1961 and grew up in Mendon, Massachusetts, USA. She studied art at Regis College in Weston, Mass and after finishing, continued with private art instruction for many years. She moved to Southwest Florida where she owned a successful hand painted garment business, creating elaborately designed clothing for boutiques across the country. While raising her family she moved her business to her home studio and began creating art for other garment and giftware manufacturers such as Soft As A Grape, Window Of the Eye, Cape Shore and Cape Cod Life Magazine. She currently lives on picturesque Cape Cod and creates commissioned portraits of people, their pets and their toys and produces fine art for gallery showings. I paint to uplift. If I see a beautiful home on the water, it is the view of the Bay through a window, rose covered arbor or the porch that captures me. It is the reflections in the polished chrome of a Harley or Corvette that intrigues me, it is the compassionate gaze of an Angels eyes that enchants me; these are the things I try to recreate with my paint so that they may bring beauty and joy to your life as well!
