Biography
Hi, my name is Gina Martucci and I have been an artist for many years. My mother taught me to draw when I was a little girl by tracing pictures in my coloring books and only coloring those pictures. She would hang them on the refrigerator and encouraged me to do more. Soon I was on my way to creating many things! When the icecream truck came around, we did not always have money to get icecream like the other kids, so I painted rocks and seashells and my little sister and I sold them to our neighbors so we could buy icecream. I later began to paint T-shirts and jean jackets so I could have money to go to the dance every week. From there it kept going with painting pictures on the windows at local car dealerships and grocery stores around the holidays, painting the dealerships logo on the floors in the service department, painting the local high school logos and sayings in the football field house, to now doing pencil portraits, murals and many other custom drawings or paintings for family, friends, and referrals.

Style Realism

A style of painting which depicts subject matter (form, color, space) as it appears in actuality or ordinary visual experience without distortion or stylization. In a general sense, refers to objective representation. More specifically, a nineteenth century movement, especially in France, that rejected idealized academic styles in favor of everyday subjects. Daumier, Millet, and Courbet were realists.
