Biography
Philosophy: The human mind is composed of a plethora of waves, images, thoughts, patterns and other obscurities that cause confusion and chaos. Our imagination is our means of battling the strife that plagues every psyche. It is my vice. My imagination helps me to bring closure and understanding to the outside world. Only those that have the ability to tap into this buried force will have the key to true redemption.

I want to create images that spark an emotion. I’m not sure if I even care what kind of an emotion. I just want to create the type of image that takes the viewer into another dimension of thinking and wonder. Pondering something other than what’s going on at that instance. A sad place, a happy place, a good place or a bad place…... just somewhere.

My imagination is my realm to reality.

Background: I was born in Jackson, Mississippi in 1974. Colorado has been my home for the past 11 years. Growing up I always felt different and distant from the people around me. I started creating images and writing poetry at a young age as a means of self-expression. At about 10 years of age, I started to experiment with different cameras. As time pasted, my fascination for creating images grew along with my love for visually expressing myself.

I create images that span across various subjects, themes, and tones. From obscure visions of my own imagination, to simple, yet beautiful, landscapes. I try not to categorize my work. I leave that to for the viewer to interpret.

Who is Tellis? I’m a farther and husband. My family is my life and inspiration for all that I do. I believe in a strong commitment to family above anything else. I’m spiritual in the sense that I believe in divine and evil spirits. I’m political in the sense that I think politics and politicians are a necessary evil. Other than that it all returns back to family values.
