Biography
Amira was born a natural artist in Vienna. Drawing and painting as a child she held her first solo-exhibition in 2005 in Vienna. While Amira has roots in Abstract Expressionism, she also has a mystical bent. Her paintings are fascinating for their mysterious allusiveness. She currently creates and thrives in California.

Style Abstract Expressionism

Movement in painting, originating in New York City in the 1940s. It emphasized spontaneous personal expression, freedom from accepted artistic values, surface qualities of paint, and the act of painting itself. Pollock, de Kooning, Motherwell, and Kline, are important abstract expressionists.
