Biography | |
I've worked with Acrylic/Oil/Watercolor paint, clay, and wire although i would like to learn other types as well.
I tend to make abstract artworks that consist of the realistic and imaginative figments throughout the world and my mind. My main focus today is for me to learn as much artistic skills as possible to become the artist that I know I can truly become. This includes learning, not only about art, but the nature, history, design, the past, today, and the future. This will bring excessive imagination to the world in which i view it.
My goals as an artist and as a person in society is to transfer from Asnuntuck Community College to a more devoted college to the teaching of art. I'm going to get my masters degree in Graphic Design and open up my own studio/gallery for my artwork, others artworks, and to teach inspiring artists one on one the fundamentals it takes to become a well rounded artist.
As for the purpose of my artwork, this is for my own benefit. This shows myself that if I can dream it, then all doors will open for me, as if I was holding a skeleton key. I can create things that people have never witnessed, thought of, or thought impossible. I can create masterpieces that can change the way the world develops. All of this with the simple bearing thought that if i can dream it, then it is always a possibility. With this in mind, even though this is for my own beneficially thoughts and beliefs, the well being of others can be salvaged here with some of my creations. Whether it be a painting or a new design to stop global warming, as long as i create something that benefits myself, it will benefit others as well.
When creating my artwork blasts of ideas rush through my thoughts and are some times overwhelming. But, when I'm finished picking out the pieces of my thoughts I sketch different images scattered. I then piece the scattered images together cleverly, proportionally, and creatively in my mind. While staring at the images and my canvas I'm about to work with I think of the title for the artwork. This helps in my imaginative process of what I would like to do with the artwork and helps to create the final outcome of the artwork. After gazing at the images a while, I begin to piece them together as desired, as if the artwork is already complete with in my mind and is now a puzzle of my own creation that I must put back together to show the world my results. After planning, sketching, and creating the artwork, I now have my finished piece of artwork and fix my eyes to the flaws of the image and fix them. In some cases this involves changing my entire idea for
the artwork, and others it's simply adding or erasing something. Finally, when the artwork finally meets the image that was originally produced in my thoughts, I sign away and move on.
What truly makes my artworks unique is the style, methods, thought process, and ideas I use to make a work of art. The styles I use is a mixture of surrealism, cubism, abstract, and divided arts. The methods vary depending on what type of artwork I'm trying to create. The textures, strokes of the brush, cut outs, thickness, color, and measures are just a few of the necessary requirements of my art. The thoughts and ideas use in my artwork are very disoriented yet costraphobic. Anywhere from dismembered bodies to water filled crater, all thoughts and ideas use disorientation and costraphobic sense.
The goals I've chosen for this coming year, is to attend a graphic design school, create at least 150 new pieces of artwork and expand my artistic mind and ability. Nothing more and nothing less. Although, my main goal of the year will be to find as many art galleries and art auctions that I can place my artwork in.
