Biography
Inspired by Pop Art, cultural icons and contemporary culture, Julie Wishmeyer's work uses daring expression, fine detail and bold design. "With exuberance and handmade appeal of outsider art," Wishmeyer explains "My work is a synthesis of cultures, mediums, functions and ever evolving creativity. I live the life of an artist. A process of self discovery." Julie Wishmeyer received her B.F.A. from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She has exhibited her work throughout the United States, Canada, and Japan. Her work is owned by Ringo Starr, Julia Roberts, President Bill Clinton and Mayer Richard Daley, to list a few.
