Biography
Hardy Heroldt was born and raised in West Berlin, during the 1960's and 1970's amidst the anarchic activism characterizing that era. In the 1980's, he split time between Florence and Ibiza, were he was instrumental in the development of Ibiza fashion and its legendary nightlife scene. Moving to Hawai`i in 1990, he developed his interest in photography and created several lines of unique Hawaiian postcards. His artistic maturation brought him back to painting in 2005, this time choosing acrylic on canvas, intrigued by the infinite possibility it gave him to express and create.

Style Abstract

A 20th century style of painting in which nonrepresentational lines, colors, shapes, and forms replace accurate visual depiction of objects, landscape, and figures. The subjects often stylized, blurred, repeated or broken down into basic forms so that it becomes unrecognizable. Intangible subjects such as thoughts, emotions, and time are often expressed in abstract art form.
