Biography
About Me I started painting some 15 years back, when I acquired my textile designing certificate. I liked doing prints and that time I scored distinction, but soon I realized canvas painting was a much more versatile form of art. It was also a de-stress from my daily routine. I started by making an oil on paper (The Beach) as a greeting card for my friend who was appearing for his H.S.C. This was mainly done from Kirk Miller's book of Art made easy. I was amazed at what came on paper. I studied some more books and learned canvas painting there on, so that I could paint what I desired. The Woods was an exercise from his book which I took up as a challenge as it was the most difficult painting in his book. It turned out well to my satisfaction, after which, one day I came upon a book on Van Gogh's paintings. When I saw it, I not just fell in love but found that I could easily connect with his personality. I repainted some of his works and felt satisfied that I did have a talent. I also realized that my specific field of painting would be Landscapes, as deep down I found I connected with God and his creation. During this time, I produced my masterpiece The Paradise. Mark my words this painting will be sold for a million dollars some day. It has the loveliest feelings involved. This was my second attempt at an original (first was Ms India). Thereby I developed an uncanny desire to paint all the landscapes of the world and so I realized I would require some original works to advertise my landscape project. I decided, I wanted to raise a particular amount for a special purpose and hence I thought upon an 8 km long canvas that would portray personally selected landscapes from all over the world, which would be photographed by a professional from the sight itself. Ever since this dream has consumed my heart and soul. I relive a thousand dreams when I paint these canvases Introduction to my art In everyone's life there are moments of depression when we seek solace. My painting will open you into a whole new world of peace and beauty as all of them are inspired by our Creator. I painstakingly involve all the happy and creative cells in my body to make these pieces of art. I embark on the journey of meditation when I do each painting. They are not random strokes of brush but a combination of my inner soul search and talent. That's how I feel about art. You either have it in you or you don't. Art is of various forms sculpting, ceramic / clay, pottery, brush works in oil, acrylic, textile prints, and fashion designing and so on. I personally take a lot of walks by the woods to get my peace and inspiration. Every artist has his / her unique style of painting. Two people may pursue the same picture but can differ in their perception. Ten different artists can look at the same picture but their perception of the same on canvas will be different, like a signature or a fingerprint. Each work (if it is an original) will have its unique blend of art, perception and talent. Some of the techniques can be learned in college, in art schools but talent still remains God's domain. That cannot be taught, bought or even stolen. So every artist is genuine and so is his art. When you view my art I hope you see the world through my eyes a beautiful innocent and pure world that God created for us and our well being. I have special feelings and emotions behind each of these. Infact ever since I painted The Rose I have been able to form a company through which I represent my work. The name of my company is Fingerprints Art Studio. This name fingerprints was a compliment given to me by an admirer, who complemented me on my rose painting for its genuinity and beauty. The words of that lady are permanently carved on my mind Your paintings are as genuine as a fingerprint is what she had said. Today I intent to do Landscapes of the World on an 8 km canvas. I intent to raise a sum of $10 million through this canvas project.
