Born 07 June 1971in Johannesburg, South Africa, and grew up on the shores of the indian ocean, 70km south of Durban. Emigration to Germany at 21, in 1993.
Education
Since 1989 pratice of graphics and painting
1992 graphic design studies in Cape Town (not completed)
08.1994 / 01.1998 boat-building apprenticeship in Schleswig-Holstein (Germany), followed by a years working experience
1999/2003 study of painting and art therapy at the Alanus Hochschule fuer Kunst und Gesellschaft, Alfter (Germany)

Style Realism |

A style of painting which depicts subject matter (form, color, space) as it appears in actuality or ordinary visual experience without distortion or stylization. In a general sense, refers to objective representation. More specifically, a nineteenth century movement, especially in France, that rejected idealized academic styles in favor of everyday subjects. Daumier, Millet, and Courbet were realists. |
