Biography
After studying and developing her artistic skills at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts Boston for three years, Abigail Coakley went on to graduate with honors and a bachelors degree of fine arts from the University of Massachusetts Boston in 2009. Through the years Abigail has developed a strong passion for painting and drawing colorful works to reflect present day themes. Her works are a collection of bright colors and bold lines to create pieces that are friendly and flirty, yet at the same time deal with present day issues facing a young woman in this society. Her inspiration is taken from her own experiences in life, love, and other struggles of growing up. Still a young developing artist, Abigail reflects on the world around her with a rebirth of Pop Art and its great masters such as Roy Lichtenstein. Modern images, made with modern materials involving layers of fun, flirty, and serious undertones wrapped in brightly colored packages.
