Biography
I started painting with acrylics, oil paints, and then drawing with oil pastels in 2005 all on canvas. I never was able to draw until I was struck by a tractor trailer in 2004 which left me disabled and unable to return to my profession as an RN. I graduated from Thomas Jefferson University in 1995 with a BSN. Working as a Hospice RN, I became more spiritually awakened. Even though I couldn't work, I felt compelled to paint and draw. I really feel this is my calling. Artwork makes such a difference in someone's world. As my life became more sedentary, I noticed how much my environment was important to me. Looking at my artwork on my walls, made such a difference in my emotional state. I also compare my artwork when I do life coaching for others. You will see my, "Carousel Horse" which represents that people go up and down in life and round and round. They are miserable, but refuse to get off the ride. I recently completed an Abstract Drawing using dried flowers for the first time along with oil pastels and acrylics. This drawing represents our chakras including the third eye. I have painted babies and children as they exude innocence. I used charcoal to portray, "The Virgin Mary and Mary Magdalene." However, I captured the anger and sadness of what was done.

I love drawing flowers as well. Every stroke of a leaf, of a rose petal, released every emotion that I kept inside. Every lost love are in my paintings. The death of my parents are also captured in my artwork as my artwork speaks for my inner feelings. Through all of it, love does not die. As one door closes another opens. Art was the door that opened for me and I hope you enjoy.
