Biography
I was born the 12th of January 1955 in Slovenia (former Yugoslavia). During my childhood I lived on a farm of my father where I had a chance to observe and enjoyed all the beauties of the nature which is the reason that I still prefer to paint landscape and the animals. Unfortunately I had to face soon with a dark side of life as my father died as I was 14 years old. Beside all the pain due to our loss I had to work hard in the farm with the rest of the family to breakthrough those hard times. After I finished primary school I decided to visit high school for sellers because my first choice was to become a seller and I concluded mentioned school successfully after 5 years of studying. Afterwards I had to go to the mandatory army training for about a year. Finally I got employed in a store company and after 20 years of working in different companies I realized that the passion of the art is too strong so I began to create with water paints, after a quite time I continued with oil paints. Art was a part of me during my childhood and real desire from the very first beginning. In the early 90s I became a professional painter. Even today the art still is my life guide so I can not say that this is my profession but more a lifestyle and who I am. On the other hand the fact for loving art so much I can see in my family as my relative was a very well known and reputable academic painter in Europe, his name was Fran Tratnik. I can proudly say for my self that I am a self taught artist who developed unique stile and I keep on developing it with all the effort I put in every single day after day. Thinking of creating something new and improved is a natural gift which follows me in my life and actually I can never stop it. My favorite and main technique remains oil on canvas even I never dropped water color technique which I started with in the beginning of my professional route. What I do create and life for is the desire for exploring of what has not been discovered till now!

Style Realism

A style of painting which depicts subject matter (form, color, space) as it appears in actuality or ordinary visual experience without distortion or stylization. In a general sense, refers to objective representation. More specifically, a nineteenth century movement, especially in France, that rejected idealized academic styles in favor of everyday subjects. Daumier, Millet, and Courbet were realists.
