| Biography | |
Born in 1962 in the City of Kaunas, Lithuania, Arturas began painting at a very young age. During his educational experience, including his time spent at The Kaunas University of Technology, Arturas began to experiment with his artistic craft. Early on in his career he began painting with water colors, which then grew into acrylic and oil paint. His collection of paintings has not only reached regional collectors in the Ukraine, Lithuania and Great Britain, but upon his move to the United States in 1996, Arturas touched a vast majority of individuals in every corner of the country. Arturas has received several awards for his creativity from many prominent agencies. In 2010 the Lithuanian Postal Service issued two post stamps, “Merry Christmas and Happy New Year”, both of which were designed by Arturas. Again in 2011, his country of birth again awarded a third post stamp, “The 775th Anniversary of the Battle of Saule''. Currently Arturas Slapsys live and work in Lithuania. |
