Biography

A native of south Florida moved to Evansville, Indiana in 1992. Then attending the University of Southern Indiana and Ivy Tech state college, graduated with honors as a Registered Nurse.   I choose this path as opposed to that of art because I was confident that my perseverance in being an artist would prevail.    Nursing has been a priority in my life since childhood due to losing my  father to heart disease at the age of only 37, and I vowed to make a difference through nursing.

As an artist, I have always been a writer through poetry, journaling, short story, etc.  Currently, I am writing a nonfiction novel to be published end of 2011.

Please do not mistake me for someone of importance, but my experiences have motivated my soul to embrace the pursuit of creative artist within.

Movement in painting, originating in New York City in the 1940s. It emphasized spontaneous personal expression, freedom from accepted artistic values, surface qualities of paint, and the act of painting itself. Pollock, de Kooning, Motherwell, and Kline, are important abstract expressionists.
