Larry was born in Wainwright, Alberta in 1959. He started sculpting at the age of 16, but has never been formally trained. His sculptures were mainly in bronze and clay and has had his work shown is in many major galleries throughout the U.S. and Canada Many of Larry’s creations are in private collections. For the past ten years or so, he has worked strictly in clay and created many functional pieces, along with the art pieces. In the past 2 years Larry has turned his attention to glass. He has always been fascinated with mouth blown glass and wanted to see what he could do with the glass using the techniques he has learned over the years. He wants to apply what he has learned in his chosen art to all other types of mediums. Larry has a very logical mind, but he looks at things in a different perspective. Larry’s attention to detail and exacting demands have enabled him to develop a unique style. By combining his vision and his dedication to the love of art, he creates works that have led him to places seldom ventured.
