Biography
HAMADA KASEM He was born in South Yemen in 1959 and started painting at the age of 6 , he attended art academies in Russia during the eighties, he is also a talented singer and sculptor. What message he sends out with his paintings? To make viewer appreciate the existing joy that she or he has but not aware of it, simply redirecting attention from negative to the many existing good things in life. What is the painting process is to the artist? Painter recognizes the completion of his painting when the painting manifest his feelings, each painting is a reflection of his joy, suffering and how his role relates to the universe collective energy. What is his philosophy about painting style? He feels that any one particular style takes away many of the painting joy and creativity. He starts with an idea but he let his brush leads the way to newer idea or a better branched idea from initial one. Who are his role models? He admires many famous and unknown art work styles but to him style is what occurs at the end of a painting, therefore, his painting has very little similarity. What does he call his style? He calls his style Hamada's style but he has no way of describing what it is. How does he name his paintings? The naming of his painting is just a trigger to redirect viewer for at least one of the existing joyful things taken for granted and that should be enjoyed and appreciated at that moment, each viewer joy and appreciation will obviously differ each time. His credential? He participated in many worldwide art exhibitions and received multiple awards for his artistic creativity in creating impressive arts in unusual background with unusual materials in Russia and Yemen. He is the choice by most of the well known Middle Eastern businessmen, politicians and the like for portraits paintings. He work was exhibited in Qatar, Dubai, Cairo, Poland, Russia and Malaysia. He has been Yemen Art and Artist committee chairman since 1994
