BACKGROUND and TRAINING

Self-taught artist at age 10

Studied art under noted artist Sid Hildawa in early ‘90s and Net Abraham in December 2005

Completed the Basic Commercial Art program at Penn Foster Career School (Nov. 2006 - June 2007)

BIOGRAPHY

Ging Borja creates artworks that emanates from her love for animals particularly those which are closest to her – pet dog Pong and stray cat Ming.

 She started drawing with crayons at age ten. Her spurts of creativity were copying syndicated cartoons from daily newspapers and popular comic book heroes particularly Superman using school regulated pencils and ink pens in her teens.

 As an adult, Ging joined the business world after graduating with a Business degree. She revived her artistic talents while performing numerous job assignments as a writer/special events coordinator/photographer/layout artist in addition to being an amateur theater actor/production staff/director.

 Ging discovered her passion for painting after producing a still life at her friend’s home one late afternoon. She paints with acrylics now while exploring new subjects. Ging lives in the Philippines.
