Biography

I am a self taught artist who has lived in the Pacific Northwest all my life. I am constantly awed and inspired by the beauty and colors of nature and of life in general. I believe art communicates what cannot be put into words. I love to contemplate forms, colors, ideas and symbols in relationship to one another and how we interact with them and live in realtionship to them, and their effect on out thoughts and dreams.

I believe color is an energizer and has a voice of it's own. I believe it is in it's own way, a kind of food for our soul. Therefore I tend to be abundant and generous with it.

A 20th century style of painting in which nonrepresentational lines, colors, shapes, and forms replace accurate visual depiction of objects, landscape, and figures. The subjects often stylized, blurred, repeated or broken down into basic forms so that it becomes unrecognizable. Intangible subjects such as thoughts, emotions, and time are often expressed in abstract art form.
