Hi, my name is Kat. I am a recent law school graduate and West Coast transplant. I have pursued art my entire life, and studied at Pratt Institute in New York and as a Fine Arts Major at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. I have recently returned to follow my true passion as an artist because the legal profession does not come close to fulfilling those interests. My works are primarily drawings that are representative of my struggles with health and having to undergo several surgeries during school and findning beauty in the ugly images and feelings emerging from these surgeries. I began my experiment with this kind of expressionsitic style in black and sepia conte and charcoal, but as I find myself in a happier place in life I am using saturated colors inspired by the ocean and horizons I see in San Diego.
