Leon Malkah was born and raised in the port city of Jaffa, Israel. His creative passion emerged in his early youth, yet it was the knowledge and experience acquired in manual crafts which enabled him to develop a wide artistic vision and a unique style.

In recent years Leon began creating pictures, wall mosaics and designed furniture.

The mosaics combine fragments of colored glass and ceramics. The careful thought and the soul poured into each work are noted immediately. The wonder of creation is ever present in Leon's work.

Leon defines his work as “Pop Art”, deriving his inspiration from cinema, music and fashion. His figures and scenes are endued with bright colors and varying shapes.

Leon sees his work as a spiritual voyage: “Like any significant process that takes place within one’s soul, the same goes for my mosaic creations. Though the whole is broken into small fragments, it is reassembled through a process of self-exploration which results in a deeper understating of one’s self with a newly perceived complexity".
