Jackson Hole, Wyoming is where I got started in oil painting during the 70's.  I was lucky enough to live where a lot of excellent artists lived and displayed their art.  One being Jim Wilcox, who still lives there and has his own gallery.  There were several galleries in town and it was fun to visit and learn from examining their work.  

Having worked in acrylics, water color, porcelain, ceramic and oil, I have settled on oil paintings.  I love the textures you can get besides the different styles available.  I enjoy realism, impasto, glazing, and abstracts.  Horses seem to be my favorite animal to paint.
