Biography
Ronald Meilof was born in Het Gooi (The Netherlands) in the year 1953. After developing his own style, his tutor, H. van Moerkerken, taught him the finer points of the former Dutch Romantic School. Ronald Meilof is considered to be one of the most competent young artists who paint in the style of this Dutch Romantic School. His landscapes, interiors and town views are in great demand by art collectors who come from England, Germany, and even America, so consequently his works are to be found in many prominent collections. Due to his great concentration for every detail in his work, only a few paintings come from his easel each year. Up to this date he has held exhibitions of his paintings in Birmingham, Frankfurt and New York.Meilof Painting - Conversing herds a long a stream ( Oil painting ) has been auctioned at $1335.00 by Sotheby's- Amestrdam, Netherlands at 8- November-1994
