The Legends and Oral Traditions of Native Americans |
Description | |
This image was inpired by a Native American legend involving a moon of the red ponies. In the tale I heard, a dream about the red ponies meant that everything would turn out okay, or in one's favor. For me, it evoked an image of a great red appaloosa mare that appeared and rode on the night winds. She is dreamlike and brings power and beauty in her wake. I painted this painting as my interpretation of this wonderful Native American legend. |
