The environment in tune with the cycles of elements of Nature
Victor Hugo Camerano is an artist from São Paulo who also maintains a lucrative business of architecture and landscaping projects. An artist able to present his work in a very unique form: his paintings have by concept, brought the elements of nature to the inner human environment and its respective processes of transformation, making a bond between these cycles that were so distanced by technology and modernity.
In these compositions, the glow of brazilian semiprecious stones (such as piritas, amethists, hematits, and much others) , unite with elements of nature, such as wood (the base of all his compositions, in place of canvas), the earth (textures of sand and stones) and finally, the water (represented by plaster, in some of the creations), in an attempt to bring indoor, close to us, the elements of nature as well as their natural cycles.
Each composition represents these elements in several different stages of transformation, such as in the ones where we get an oxidation / decomposition of metal into rust, and this element, after many years under earth, is ever-changing in Victorôs work, process that is identical to the cycles of nature. âÂÂItôs a living piece of work. Organic, part of a slow process of transformation, exactly how nature works!â explains Victor Hugo.
Besides being esthetically pleasing, semiprecious stones in itself are known to have an aura of mysterious powers, either it be healing or means of prosperity and so on.
As living elements in the paintings, these metals, stones and textures can de disposed in the most diverse manners, exploring different esthetic transformations. |
