Description 
The wood used for these carvings is called Ironwood, or better known as Palo Fierro. As it its name implies, it is one of the heaviest woods known to man. It will not float in water and because it is so dense, carving anything from it it is extremely difficult.

The trees grow at an altitude of 2500 feet or less in the desert and coastal regions of Arizona, California an the State of Sonora in Mexico. NO GREEN OR LIVE TREES ARE USED FOR THESE CARVINGS.

To properly care for your Ironwood Carvings, apply a light coat of brown or neutral paste type shoe wax, then polish with a soft cloth. Enjoy your collection.
