Long ago there was an evil man in my tribe. He hurt alot of people and killed one man. So the elder(wise man) of the tribe told him that he was evil. So he called on the hunters to spear him so they speared him 5 or more times. Then the kadatchi man (medicine man) of the tribe put a spell on him and said you will live but when you wake up in the morning you will be different and you will stay that way for the rest of your life Mother earth and yunghi the sun spirit said i will heal your wounds so you wont get sick and die.The next morning he woke up only to find the hi body and arms had shrunk , he had a dig nose and he had spikes(quills) all over his back Thats how the porky(echidna) got his quliis. By Lionel Phillips The red big circle in the top left of the painting with dots and wiggly lines comming of it is the sun and the white figure in it is yunghi the sun spirit. The other white figure is mother earth. The animal with the big nose is the porky pine(echidna).The snake is my tribal totam.The two circles with a wiggly line attatched to them is a bora ring(which means tribal area).The sponge work means the trees and the plants and the animals are the other totams of the other tribes.
