I had picked this subject due to it's out of the ordinary nature's power and man's impermanence. The arches made here are a result of the action of water on softer sections of the rock.The Cliffs of Normandy are a distinctive landmark on the French coastline and are one of the most popular tourist destination in FranceThis is a highly textured painting painted mainly in cream and enhanced with beautiful shimmering paint. Attention was given to capturing the light of the sky and its effect on the Lime cliffs. The reflection of this wave, breaking on the rocks at center was the inspiration for this paintingThe rocks are done with palette knife to create texture. The art is created to show textured oil paint. By showing shallow-lit texture, I had demonstrated the individuality, the uniqueness of oil painting.Of course there are some points to remember in landscape oil paintings like imagination powers, originality to the piece, attitude towards the painting and the hard work or the energy put into the landscape oil painting by an artist.
