Oil on Linen

The symbols I use in my painting are the eclipse of the sun which stops the light / knowledge coming to us.

Our Earth mother Gaia, whose face is in quarters, White, Chinese, Latino / Indian and Black, represents our whole human family.
Bone tools dating from our earliest beginning as a family cover part of Gaia face.

I have also incorporated the Medieval Reliquary of St. Faith, shows our dual desire for faith and greed. Super imposed on the Reliquary are two television sets connected by wires back to the brain and the eclipse to illustrate Worldwide Media communication.

The painting challenges the viewer to realize that our world is dying and that we need to act now
